Terms and Conditions

Woofwalks Off-Leash Excursions and the associates thereof (hereafter referred to as Woofwalks) and the client(s), agree as follows:

1. By signing this General Pet Care Contract, client acknowledges said contract as valid approval for all future services during the contract’s duration. This General Pet Care Contract, and the provision and limitations described therein, shall be valid until Woofwalks receives written notification of cancellation from client.

2. Upon signing of this contract, client may verbally request or cancel services via the main office. Client authorizes Woofwalks to accept appointments verbally, over the telephone, and to enter their home and property to perform said services without additional signed contracts or further written authorization.

3. Client authorizes any member of Woofwalks staff, or any Woofwalks contractor to handle their dog and to enter the client’s home to gain access to the dog. In the event that a client’s primary walker is not available, Woofwalks may provide a substitute walker to perform the walk.

4. Client will receive a Client Guide outlining the company services, policies and procedures. Woofwalks will perform services requested completely and to the best of their ability. It is client’s responsibility to review said Client Guide and to familiarize themselves with the policies and information contained therein. Woofwalks reserves the right to update the Client Guide at any time without notification to the client.

5. Woofwalks is further authorized to seek emergency veterinary care and to approve all procedures (excluding euthanasia) recommended by veterinarian in client’s absence. Client agrees to reimburse Woofwalks for all costs (including treatment, analysis, medications, and transportation) involved in the treatment of their pet(s) or for any other cost incurred (food/supplies/etc.) in the care of their pet(s).

6. Dogs under the care of Woofwalks must be properly licensed through local animal control.

7. All pets that are left in the care of Woofwalks must be current on their vaccinations. Should any associate of Woofwalks be exposed to a disease or injury by client’s pets, client claims all responsibility to Woofwalks and agrees to pay all costs and damages incurred by the victim.

8. Woofwalks does not care for sick or pregnant animals. Client agrees to provide Woofwalks with accurate information concerning pet’s health at time of service, and to update Woofwalks if there are significant changes at any time thereafter.

9. All photos/images taken of pet while in the care of Woofwalks is the sole property of Woofwalks (including but not limited to composite or distorted representations or derivative works made in any medium) for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition, or any other lawful purposes.

10. Client agrees to provide Woofwalks with accurate information concerning potential behavioral problems and instances of aggression on the part of their pets. Client claims all responsibility for any and all costs and damages to people and properties resulting from the behavior of client’s pets while they are in the care of Woofwalks. Client further agrees to pay any court costs, damages and attorney’s fees incurred by Woofwalks as the result of litigation brought against Woofwalks due to the action of client’s pet(s) against other parties.

11. Client agrees to claim responsibility for any injury to Woofwalks due to client’s pet (i.e. bite, scratch, attack) or negligent condition of client’s premises.

12. Client waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Woofwalks in the providing of services including those related to accidental death, injury, illness or escape of a pet.

13. In the event of a natural disaster, hazardous weather, fire, flood or any other emergency situation on client’s premises, Woofwalks is entrusted and empowered by client to use best judgment in the caring for client’s pet(s) and home (if applicable). Woofwalks will be held harmless for the consequences related to such decisions and will be reimbursed by client for any applicable costs incurred by Woofwalks in the care of client’s pet(s) in the event of such circumstances.

14. Client agrees to reimburse Woofwalks for costs incurred in the event that Woofwalks is required to employ a locksmith to gain entry into client’s premises due to malfunction of lock or key or to the failure of Client to provide or leave a key. Client expressly gives Woofwalks the authority to employ a locksmith on client’s behalf in the event of the aforementioned circumstances.

15. Client agrees to provide accurate information to Woofwalks for their Emergency Contact and is responsible for any inaccuracies therein.

16. Payment of services is due by the 20th of each month. Late fees will be applied to payments not postmarked or received by the 20th of the month.

17. Payment may be made in cash, personal check, cashier’s check or money order. Client may either hand payment to an associate of Woofwalks, or mail payment (excluding cash) to Woofwalks main office. Any payment left in client’s home will be collected and written notification will be provided upon collection.

18. A handling fee of $30 will be charged on all return checks. A finance charge of 4% per month will be applied to unpaid balances. In the event it is necessary to initiate collection proceedings on the account, client will be responsible for all attorney’s fees and costs of collection. Collection proceedings will be initiated on accounts that have been delinquent for ninety (90) days.

19. Woofwalks reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time for any reason.
